HDS built-in cartography includes an Enhanced U.S. Base Map, with the option of Lake Insight™ for U.S. Inland and Great Lakes, or Nautic Insight™ for detailed U.S. coastal areas.  The HDS-5 is fully compatable with all Navionics map cards as well as Lowrance mapping products including LakeMaster® ProMaps.
